The Swiss made Hybrid Scale Magnifier from F+C Optic offers first-class definition via a high quality achromatic lens system and is fitted with a double scale 15 mm/0.1 mm & 0.6"/0.005".
The perfect description of this classic magnifier is a hybrid between traditional measuring magnifier and crack magnifier. Focusing is done via the optical system’s sliding seat, as in crack magnifiers. An outstanding amount of light can enter the light window via the inclined position.
A special feature is the chrome graduation metallised on to the glass plate in a high vacuum, offering a high degree of mechanical and chemical stability. The measuring magnifier is supplied in a handy break-resistant plastic case.
Measurements on both dark and light items are possible using the the special design of the scale fitted to the FC-S-8. The covering of the lower part of the scale in the longitudinal direction makes it opaque and consequently visible even on dark objects. The graduation lines extended over the cover become measuring heads that match the measuring jaws on a micrometer or calliper gauge.
