Temporary fixing product for machining, polishing or cutting processes.

XGLU helps minimize the risk of contamination of diamond cutting tools that can be encountered with traditional waxes. Cleaning is easy because the product is soluble in acetone

Use a hotplate or oven to heat the glass or ceramic mounting block to the flow temperature of approximately 75 ° C. Work in a well ventilated area. Do not exceed the flow temperature, otherwise the adhesive will begin to decompose and its performance will be degraded. Apply an even layer of adhesive to the heated mounting plate and place the substrate to be attached on top of the adhesive. Using a weight, apply pressure to the substrate to remove air bubbles and make sure the substrate is parallel to the backing plate. Apply a bead of adhesive along the perimeter of the substrate to optimize hold.

Remove the mounting plate from the heated source and allow it to cool slowly to room temperature until the adhesive becomes hard again. Let cool for 20-30 min before any machining operation. Carry out machining or cutting operations on the substrate to be treated. Then remove the parts by warming the mounting block to flow temperature. Use a tool to slide the parts out of the mounting block.
